Volume of wax required
To fill the container to 90%, allow between 480 and 500 grams of wax.
Thermal properties of amber glass
Amber glass exhibits different thermal properties compared to clear glass, particularly a higher capacity to absorb thermal radiation. This characteristic leads to greater heat accumulation within the container, causing it to reach higher temperatures. This can result in more pronounced internal overheating than with clear glass, increasing the risk of glass weakening.
It is therefore not recommended to use a wick that is too powerful with this type of container, in order to limit any risk of breakage. To ensure optimal combustion, it is essential to choose a suitable wick, as indicated in the following paragraph.
What type or size of wick should I use?
Please use the following wicks for optimum performance:
- Wicks for TCR 36/22 candles
- Wicks for TCR 24/12 candles (3 wicks for 1 container)
- Wicks for perforated wood candles: 40/120
