Enhance your poured candles with this amber-coloured ribbed glass. Its warm tint enhances the flame’s brilliance, while the striations create a textured play of light. In 330 ml, it offers long-lasting diffusion and highlights both natural waxes and deep colours.
The benefits of amber striated candle glass
- Striated finish for a luminous, elegant relief
- 330 ml capacity for longer burns
- Dishwasher and microwave safe, making it easy to clean and preheat the container, provided there are no flammable materials inside
- Timeless amber colour, ideal for bohemian or minimalist styles
Recommendations for use
- Clean, degrease and dry the container, then preheat it slightly to limit frosting
- Glue and centre the wick, then cast at the right temperature for your wax
- Leave to rest for 48 to 72 hours before carrying out your combustion tests.
Thermal properties of amber glass
Amber glass exhibits different thermal properties compared to clear glass, particularly a higher capacity to absorb thermal radiation. This characteristic leads to greater heat accumulation within the container, causing it to reach higher temperatures. This can result in more pronounced internal overheating than with clear glass, increasing the risk of glass weakening.
It is therefore not recommended to use a wick that is too powerful with this type of container, in order to limit any risk of breakage. To ensure optimal combustion, it is essential to choose a suitable wick, as indicated in the following paragraph.
Recommendations for wick selection
- TCR Series: 30/18 to 33/20
- ECO Series: 10 to ECO 14
- Lined wood wicks: 13/100 to 16/100
Important: the higher the fragrance and/or colouring load, the closer you should get to the top of the range indicated above when choosing your wick size. Systematically carry out tests to check the width of the melting pool, the stability of the flame and the absence of smoke, depending on the wax, fragrance and colourant used.
