Superplasticiser for Jesmonite® creations
The superplasticiser is an additive designed to fluidify your mix without the need to add water or extra liquid. Compatible only with Jesmonite® AC730 and AC84, it turns a thick preparation into a supple mix that’s easy to work with.
By making the material more fluid, it lets you:
- Improve the flow of the mix
- Make pouring easier
- Achieve fine details and complex mouldings with ease
- Limit surface defects
Ideal for achieving a self-levelling consistency while optimising the base-to-liquid ratio, it is particularly useful for making candle containers, decorative trays, objects with fine reliefs, complex or deep moulds and castings requiring a very smooth surface.
Dosage and use
Dosage: 8 to 12 g per kg of mix. We recommend starting at 8 g per kg of mix, then adjusting according to the fluidity you want.
How to use:
- Weigh out the quantity of AC730 or AC84 liquid.
- Add the superplasticiser to the AC730 or AC84 liquid.
- Stir for a few seconds to blend.
- Then add the AC730 or AC84 powder.
Precautions
Overdosing can slow the setting, increase demoulding time and cause cracks or crazing. Excessive amounts can also affect the final strength of your piece.
Always carry out a preliminary test: humidity, temperature and mix volume strongly influence the result.
This product has not undergone food-safety testing.
